Robot Wars 1997 - Defiant vs Pretty Hate Machine

4th annual Robot Wars - Lightweight division Pretty Hate Machine was built by Christian Carlberg of Overkill/Minion fame. It is a walking robot, which at the time meant that it could weight twice as much as the others in the same weight category. It has two gas engines powering the two saw blade arrays. The shuffling mechanism was powered by wheelchair motors. Defiant is a high tech bot styled after Biohazard. With carbon fiber armour, Co2 powered 4-bar lifter, and 6 wheel drive it was a force to be reckoned with. It also competed in Battlebots
